Dr. Khurram Shahzad

Oral Surgeon

Read His Bio
Dr Shahzad grew up in Long Island, New York. He attended the State University of New York (SUNY) and graduated with honors and a major in Biology. He then attended New York University (NYU) for dental school and graduated in the top of his class. After that Dr. Shahzad completed his Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in long Island, NY. During this time, he also received his Medical degree (MD) from Stony Brook university and completed a General Surgery Internship at North Shore Medical Center in New York. After Finishing his residency training, Dr. Shahzad went on to serve in the US Air force and worked in Japan for three years at the US base. Next he was stationed in England for four years at the US base there. Following England, he came back to the United States and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California where his duty was primarily to teach and train future Air Force Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Currently he is involved in that endeavor on a part-time basis while also treating the local community through private practice,

Dr. Shahzad is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. When not seeing patients, Dr. Shahzad enjoys traveling, music (especially classic rock and Northern Indian classical music), sports, and spending time with family and friends. His philosophy on life is simple: follow the golden rule. “Treat others as you would like to be treated”.

Dr Scott Sutter

Endodontist

Dr. Sutter was born in Arizona but grew up in the foothills of California. His undergraduate studies were completed at The University of the Pacific where he received a B.S. in Biology. His dental degree was completed at the Arthur A. Dugoni, University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. While there he founded the Endodontic Study Club and participated in numerous leadership and educational roles, and received awards for his research in HeLa cancer cells using liposomes for drug delivery. His dental education continued following graduation when he attended the University of Minnesota and completed a one-year general practice residency, which primarily focused on high acuity patients and dental treatment in a hospital and operating room setting. He then elected to specialize in endodontics, traveling south to Saint Louis University where he spent two more years in his residency program. It was there that he received a master’s degree for his work in radiology and perception in 2014. He is the author of a chapter on the role of endodontics in dental trauma in the textbook, Modern Sports Dentistry, and recently became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Jakub Pietrowski

Dr. Jakub Pietrowski received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his dental degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2003. Since then, he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Barksdale Air Force Base, in Shreveport, LA., before heading off to his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield. After completing his residency, Dr. Pietrowski took on a teaching position at Air Force Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency programs while also treating active duty Air Force members, their family, and wounded warriors coming back to the United States.

Dr. Pietrowski’s goal is to provide the highest quality care possible to his patients and the community in general. He enjoys working in a team environment, and puts the welfare of his patients as his number one priority. Dr. Pietrowski practices full scope care including, but not limited to: surgical extractions, deep sedation, dental implants, ridge preservation/augmentation, sinus augmentation, biopsies, and orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Pietrowski is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association and is certified in ACLS, PALS, and BLS. When not working, Dr. Pietrowski, along with his wife and two children enjoy hiking, skiing, playing tennis, wine tasting, and many other outdoor activities in the local area.

Dr. Derek Park

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Derek Park attended the University of California, Berkeley and completed his honors thesis at the University of California, San Francisco. He then attended Columbia University in New York City to receive his Dental Degree (D.D.S.) and Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Biotechnology. His love for the Bay Area brought him back to the University of California, San Francisco where he received his Medical Degree (M.D.) and completed an internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Park is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who focuses his practice on outpatient sedation, dental extractions, bone grafting, and implant surgery. The most common compliment he gets is his calming demeanor and compassion for his patients. He makes every effort to ensure that his patients and family have a pleasant experience during their visit. He is passionate about his field and strives everyday to providing quality, safe, and evidence-based care.

Dr. Park enjoys traveling with his family and learning about different cultures. He loves cooking, especially Korean food. During his free time, he enjoys hiking, golfing, and playing tennis.

Dr. Michael Bingham

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Michael Bingham received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and his DDS degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry. He then went on to complete a year long residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. After serving for two years at Lajes Field Air Base in the Azores, Portugal, he completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Indiana University. Dr Bingham is passionate about teaching and thoroughly enjoys his experience as an instructor at Travis Air Force Base in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. He is excited to extend his skills and experience to the community outside of his military “family”. Dr. Bingham is continually focused on providing excellent,
compassionate care and is grateful for the comprehensive training that has allowed him to do so. His scope of practice includes, but is not limited to: deep sedation, dental implants, surgical extractions, ridge preservation/augmentation, sinus augmentation, biopsies, facial trauma, and orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Bingham is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also maintains certification in ACLS, PALS, and BLS. In his free time, Dr. Bingham enjoys spending time with his wife and six sons camping, hiking, fishing, serving in the community, and exploring all the great locations that Northern California has to offer.
